What We Do

We are dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Formed in early March 2022 as a response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, GDRT has since helped thousands of refugees gain access to medicine, evacuate crisis areas, and improve their ability to live fulfilling lives.

Our Vision

We work with local and contextually aware resources to identify, vet, and fulfill the needs of people and areas that fall under the radar in this crisis.

We connect volunteers, medical professionals, and donated supplies to communities in Ukraine and the people that need them.

What do our services look like?

Our volunteer medical teams combine unique knowledge of local language, customs, and culture with bringing advanced US treatments, so medical care can be provided in the most direct and effective way (not to mention emotional and psychological support available in the refugees’ native language). During our missions, we connect with local healthcare providers and get first hand information about their needs, so we can find, direct, and deliver humanitarian aid towards most critical areas.

Our current activities on the ground:

  • Medical Evacuations

    • GDRT crews evacuate injured refugees from green, yellow and red zones in Ukraine who are not able to travel by public transport due to their injury or chronic illness or are wheelchair bound.

    • We help source and equip ambulances and emergency vehicles for these missions.

  • Medical Supplies

    • Ability to obtain and supply life-saving medicine, including insulin and other prescription medications and personally deliver to surgeons and doctors in Western, Southern, and Central Ukraine who have limited resources.

    • On average, each month we send $70,000 of donated medical supplies from the USA to Ukraine.
