The IRS classifies cryptocurrency as property for tax purposes which means it is typically the most tax-efficient way to support your favorite cause. When donating crypto, you receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the crypto, and you avoid the capital gains tax you would have incurred if you had sold the crypto and then made a donation. We’re here to help Ukrainians get the medical aid and help they so badly need. Our organizations finds the people and places who are overburdened and have insufficient resources and who haven’t seen enough help, and using our network of skilled volunteers and service workers, we bridge that gap.

  • Currently, we accept direct donations of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and supported cryptocurrencies through our donation portal powered by The Giving Block. All that is required is the most basic knowledge of conducting cryptocurrency transactions and a desire to give. While we are working to streamline the giving process across protocols, we only accept direct donations through The Giving Block's system (which is built upon our Gemini exchange account).

Donors do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated crypto that is donated and can typically deduct the fair market value of the donation on their taxes.   • Yes, when you donate through our Giving Block portal, you will be prompted to submit your email to receive an automatic tax receipt.
